APLE HOMEWORK 7/10. Deadline Sunday May 5th

Hi Students,
Back from Santiago. Tired, but really happy with the experience.
Here is your homework for next week. If you are going away for the long weekend, try to do it before leaving.
You have to watch this interview with Tom Cruise and answer ORALLY the following questions about it. You can use Speakpipe or any other system.

1.- What's the title of Tom Cruise's new film?
2.- Why do they talk about "germs"?
3.- What does Tom Cruise remember about his first premiere?
4.- Where has he been so far to promote his film?
5.- What happened to Tom Cruise in Ireland?
6.- Where was his last movie shot?
7.- What funny, dangerous things did Tom Cruise do in Iceland?
8.- Say at least three of the sentences Tom Cruise has to say in a dramatic way.
9.- Tom Cruise is said to be quite short. Search on the Internet how tall he is in feet and in centimetres.
10. Do you like Tom Cruise? Can you name a few films you have seen where he was the leading actor?

APLE HOMEWORK 6/10. Deadline Friday 26th

Dear Students,
As you know, April 23rd is Book Day to commemorate the day William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes died. For this reason, your homework this week is related to books.
I want you to recommend a book to all the other students in the class. It could be a book in English or in Spanish, a classic or something very recent. Talk between 1 and 3 minutes about it and mention the title, the author, the genre, a little bit of the story [do not tell how it ends, please], the length and above all why you like it so much and why you recommend it to the other students in the school. I'd love you to do it in this voicethread, because I want you to do it and also to read the other students' recommendations.

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies," said Jojen. "The man who never reads lives only one.”
― George R.R. Martin, A Dance With Dragons

Good luck

APLE Homework 4/10. Deadline Friday 12th.

Last Thursday it was the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther's King assassination. For this reason, this month we are going to work on a project called "a class divided". I want you to look for information on the Internet (in English, of course) and try to find the answers to these questions. Once you have the information, send it to me ORALLY. If you have problems with SpeakPipe, just let me know as soon as possible.

1 When was Martin Luther King, Jr. born?
2 What were the names of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s family members?
3 When was Martin Luther King, Jr. married, and did he have any children?
4 What did Martin Luther King, Jr. study?
5 When did Martin Luther King, Jr. deliver his famous speech "I have a dream ..."?
6 What sort of discrimination did he fight against?
7 What were his dreams?
8 Why was Martin Luther King, Jr. awarded the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize?
9 When did Martin Luther King, Jr. die and where is he buried?

10. Why do you think that Martin Luther King is so important?
