APLE Homework 4/10. Deadline Friday 12th.

Last Thursday it was the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther's King assassination. For this reason, this month we are going to work on a project called "a class divided". I want you to look for information on the Internet (in English, of course) and try to find the answers to these questions. Once you have the information, send it to me ORALLY. If you have problems with SpeakPipe, just let me know as soon as possible.

1 When was Martin Luther King, Jr. born?
2 What were the names of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s family members?
3 When was Martin Luther King, Jr. married, and did he have any children?
4 What did Martin Luther King, Jr. study?
5 When did Martin Luther King, Jr. deliver his famous speech "I have a dream ..."?
6 What sort of discrimination did he fight against?
7 What were his dreams?
8 Why was Martin Luther King, Jr. awarded the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize?
9 When did Martin Luther King, Jr. die and where is he buried?

10. Why do you think that Martin Luther King is so important?

APLE HOMEWORK 3/10. Deadline April 4th

Dear students,

You all know we are not working with our book as hard as we should, so at Easter, you are going to do some easy practice about it. Everything is about unit 11 in your Real Listening and Speaking.
You have to do all these listening activities on a Word document and then send it to me.

Page 52. Activity A1. Here is the audio in case you don't have the CD.

Next on page 54, activities D 1,2 & 3. Here is the audio.

Finally, on page 55, activities F 1 & 2. Here are the audios.

Good luck and remember this is the last term, and the most important one for you.

APLE HOMEWORK 2/10. Deadline April 4th.

Dear students,

Some of your marks in the second listening exam were not that good, so I think it is time for you to practise with difficult listenings during the holidays. To do it, you have to go to this site:

You have to do all the four tests. Be careful because in theory you cannot listen to the recordings more than once. Fill in as many blanks as you can (altogether there are 40 of them in 4 different parts).
When you finish, click on "click on here to check your answers". Now, you will get to a new window where your score is shown. I want you to take a screenshot of your computer and then send it to me to prove that you did it and to check your score. It is hard, but I think it is very good practice for you.
Good luck.
