WEEKEND HOMEWORK FEBRUARY 20TH
This is your homework for this weekend. The deadline is Friday 26th. You must go to this page from CNN and listen to the news for a particular day. Ana will start with February 1st, Eva with February 2nd and then Giulia 3, Maria 4, Inés 5, Sandra 6, Alvaro 7, Lara 8, Maxi 9, Gonzalo 10, Esther 11, Jaime 12, Andrés 13, Juan 14 and Jose February 15th. Try to watch the video twice and then, if you don't understand everything, listen to it again reading the transcript. After that, go to this voicethread and record in one or two minutes a summary of some of the pieces of news you have listened to.

VOICETHREAD: Christmas Homework
Have a look at the picture and guess who the woman is. Try to find out as much as you can about her life. Don't forget to mention who you are. I hope you still remember your user and password for voicethread.
Well done, all of you who worked hard on the voicethread. Eva and some other, Eladio Viñuela died about 10 years ago, so Margarita is no longer married. Lara, your volume was really low, try to speak louder next time. Andrés, you can delete the comment and start a new one if you start laughing or don't know what to say. Alvaro, there was nothing in your comment, sorry. By the way, if you have a usb microphone from the Wii, Xbox or PlayStation (Singstar, Sing it, etc.) you can use it to record here. The quality is really good.

APLE LESSON OUTLINE DECEMBER 17th
Hi students,
Last day at the computer room this year. Let's see if we celebrate Xmas.
10 minutes: go to http://voicethread.com/ and watch the video on What's on Voice Thread Anyway?
When you have watched the video, go to "register" and introduce your name (the one you prefer), your email (real) and a password (write it down or remember it very well). If you don't know what to write you can always write aple, javier or marsalas. This will be something importart for the second term.
25 minutes: go to our friend Ana Mendez blog and let's work on Christmas. Do the section "how much do you know about Christmas?, then the section called New Year Resolutions and finally listen to at least one Christmas song (you can see the lyrics on a different tab or window).
10 minutes: It's party time. Go to the karaoke and sing "Last Christmas" or "All I want for Christmas is you" with your mates.
